The FIPA flat vacuum cups offer lateral stability owing to their shape during the suction process and positional accuracy when depositing the material. Supporting ribs in the vacuum cup provide for even more lateral firmness and prevent slippage, for example, when heavy and oily sheets need to be tilted in the automotive industry. The higher degree of lateral stability is particularly useful for vertical lifting operations.

Another advantage of supporting ribs in the vacuum cup: They increase the active suction area and, thus, the suction force. This is, above all, very significant in the case of very fast clock cycles, since the high values of acceleration necessitate increased holding force.

FIPA flat vacuum cups without supporting ribs are suitable primarily for handling parts having straight or slightly curved surfaces.

Needless to say, all FIPA flat vacuum cups are available in different materials – matched to your application perfectly.
