Crane suspensions


FIPA offers a standard range of possibilities for fixing the crane system to the ceiling or an overhead structure.


In most cases we use pendular suspension because this guarantees the best possible smooth-running characteristics for the crane system. It provides good absorption of vibration and minor impacts.


With vertically acting loads, such as when using telescopic bridges, or for lateral mounting parts we use a rigid suspension.


Under very low headroom conditions the rigid suspension helps to gain small additional stroke heights by fixing the profile as close as possible under the beam.


Inclined suspensions are used if the distance between the crane profile and the overhead structure is greater than 600 mm, or if the overhead structure has an incline of more than 8°.

  • The pendular suspension for concrete is directly fixed to the roof with an injection mortar and concrete anchors. A 14 mm Ø drill is required for setting the anchors
