New Release: Bernoulli Vacuum Cups for Direct Food Contact

With the new Bernoulli Vacuum Cups, FIPA now offers a solution for gentle handling of food and other delicate products. “The new Bernoulli grippers are made from PEEK, which is a material suitable for use with food products, and meet the stringent FDA requirements,” says Rainer Mehrer, President of FIPA.


The new Bernoulli Vacuum Cups from FIPA are based on the Bernoulli Principle. In this process, compressed air flows through a very fine nozzle on the underside of the vacuum cup and is greatly accelerated. The rapid air flow produces underpressure and acts like an air cushion on which the product floats almost contactless – ideal for handling delicate porous products.


The new Bernoulli Vacuum Cups from FIPA are made from FDA compliant PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) and are ideal for applications with direct food contact. Thanks to high chemical resistance and hygienic design, they can easily withstand industrial cleaning processes.


For handling larger/heavier objects, several cups can easily be combined. Two key features have been added to this new product line; greater suction force and less weight. Compared to conventional Bernoulli cups made of aluminum they are up to 75% lighter and offer two times more suction power.
