Does a new requirement mean a new gripper? This must not be so. The development engineers at FIPA have designed replaceable gripper jaws for efficient Pick & Place in the plastics, automotive, telecommunication and other industries. Be they soft gates, hot plastic parts or thin films: The gripper jaws available in four designs facilitate the handling of completely different materials using one and the same gripper. The use of one gripper for multiple applications saves investment costs and time in handling operations. The new gripper jaws ensure maximum flexibility to the users, since the gripper can be specifically adapted to suit the material being handled. When the requirements change, the gripper jaws are simply replaced. “Our new and innovative gripper jaws provide the customer with a highly flexible and versatile product, which he can adapt optimally to his area of application. The replaceable gripper jaws are completely compatible with the FIPA gripper construction kit, and can also be used in the systems of other manufacturers, owing to their availability in prevalent market clamp diameters ranging from 10 to 20 mm”, summarizes Mr. Rainer Mehrer, the CEO of FIPA, as their benefits.
