Gripper Solution for Handling Plastic Cups
Removal, 180° rotation, and precise placement into a holder – all within a single cycle
Removal, 180° rotation, and precise placement into a holder – all within a single cycle
This video shows how flexibly different components can be combined within a single handling process, using our custom-engineered gripper system: a vacuum gripper designed for the simultaneous handling of plastic cups and a matching holder.
Four plastic parts need to be removed from the process: three plastic cups and a corresponding holder. For downstream processing, the cups must be inserted into the holder in a rotated orientation – a task that requires smart, well-designed gripper kinematics.
All four plastic parts are picked up within a single cycle. Vacuum cups ensure secure, marking-free handling of both the cups and the holder. The holder is placed down first, after which the gripper rotates the three cups by 180° and places them one by one precisely into the holder.
Removal, reorientation, and precise placement of several different components within a single continuous process – without any additional repositioning station.
